Patina Solutions to support BrightStar Wisconsin Foundation’s early-stage companies with mentoring

MILWAUKEE, May 10, 2016 –Patina Solutions and BrightStar Wisconsin Foundation today announced that Patina will provide mentoring services from its select group of experienced executives to all 29 of BrightStar’s portfolio companies. The portfolio companies will have access to Patina’s recently launched program, The Mentor Bank©, which provides clients with access to over 300 highly experienced mentors in a wide range.

“The Mentor Bank provides clients with a flexible and collaborative solution to enhance the development of their key personnel,” said Terri Mayes, the program’s Director. “Whether a Fortune 500 or an early-stage company, The Mentor Bank is custom designed to provide support and mentoring for the specific challenges and opportunities faced by each company’s leaders. As a result, our clients are successful because they have employees who are more engaged and better prepared to take on current and future challenges.”

BrightStar’s early-stage companies will utilize The Mentor Bank technology platform to select the mentors best suited to their specific needs from a large pool of experienced leaders ready to guide them to achieve better results.

“Access to The Mentor Bank will allow executives from our portfolio companies to leverage the expertise of Patina mentors as they deal with dynamic issues, some of which they may never have faced before,” said Todd Sobotka, BrightStar’s portfolio manager. “There are so many ways that The Mentor Bank can help. From a leader who could benefit from advise on a difficult board or employee issue to the company looking at selling into the Chinese market or overcoming a regulatory hurdle, getting advice from a mentor who has faced and solved the problem before can be invaluable. We have high expectations for the successful outcomes that Patina’s mentoring will deliver.”

“Patina believes in the BrightStar mission of creating jobs in Wisconsin,” said Mike Harris, co-founder and CEO of Patina. “I am confident that through this partnership, our talented Patina mentors will help make these innovative area startups even more successful—and that’s great for our state. My team and I are very excited about helping BrightStar companies.”
