Michael Drescher is an entrepreneur and media professional with a passion for community and the arts. Along with his brother Jim, he co-founded in 1981 JDTV, a multimedia and production company to distribute television listings worldwide. When the business was sold in 1999 to Tribune Media Services, JDTV had built the world’s largest database of interactive TV and movie descriptions in 11 languages. Its clients included all the major cable and broadcast companies.

Mr. Drescher established Drescher Holdings in 1997, where he is involved in a wide range of businesses in the real estate, hospitality, Internet, theatre and film industries. His most recent project is Okanjo, an online merchant focused on changing the way we look at charitable giving. Mr. Drescher also is co-founder, partner and director of Global Publishing-One World Yellow Pages, the largest global yellow pages company, which has an exclusive partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Vibrant LLC is Mr. Drescher’s investment firm. It is focused on social impact and has been funding dramatic research on breast health for the past 11 years. This has led him to create a new line of products focused on female health. He serves as a director of Newaukee, Okanjo Partners, Vibrant, MiKE and International Film Finance. Drescher has a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from Boston College.
