Jeff Rusinow has been an active member of the early-stage venture capital community in the Midwest since 2000, when he founded Milwaukee’s first angel network, Silicon Pastures. He had spent 22 years in retail management, holding senior executive positions at Macy’s, Gimbel’s, Hudson Bay Company and Kohl’s Department Stores, where he served as an executive vice president.

Mr. Rusinow has served as a director of a number of private and public companies, as well as non-profits. He has been the chairman and lead investor in two startups that have been acquired by Fortune 500 companies: Internet retailer BUYSEASONS Inc., which owns and manages the largest retailer of costumes in the world, BuyCostumes.com, and ModernMed, a health care services company. Mr. Rusinow is also chairman and lead investor of Aurora Spectral Technologies, Milwakee, and residential mortgage banker Thompson Kane, based in Madison. He is also lead investor and on the board of Death’s Door Spirits and Propeller Health, both also based in Madison.

He is also the director of the American Bird Conservancy and the Wisconsin League of Conservations Voters. Jeff has both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Virginia.
